 ams\n\nThis event includes a timed 5k\, untimed 5k and a 1-mile family fun
walk. Virtual participation is also an option.\nThis event is a 5K run in
memory of JJ Sund to benefit Children’s Respite Care Center (CRCC). CRCC
is dedicated to boosting child growth and development through innovative c
are that prioritizes physical\, mental\, emotional and intellectual wellbe
ing. CRCC’s state of the art facilities and expert team create an inclusiv
e environment where every child can flourish.\n\nJJ was introduced into th
e CRCC family in May 2017\, where he quickly wrapped the staff around his
little fingers. It didn’t take long for the classroom staff and therapists
to look forward to the smiles and giggles he offered. He made new friends
quickly. Each staff member looked forward to seeing him and celebrated al
l of the milestones that JJ achieved! In November of 2017\, JJ was diagnos
ed with a rare neuromuscular condition\, which affected many of the system
s in his body. JJ’s doctors\, as well as the CRCC staff\, helped us naviga
te the curveballs thrown in JJ’s direction. But even that didn’t stop JJ i
n achieving his milestones\, as he grew up and began preschool in the fall
of 2020.\n\nThe CRCC staff became part of JJ’s family\, for which we are
forever grateful. They were equally affected by his passing on Labor Day 2
 020. Our goal is to honor JJ’s legacy and memory\, as he left a deep mark
on those around him. He lived fully and abundantly\, loving on others. He
was smart\, knew that he needed others for his quality of life\, but that’
s not why he loved how he did. JJ’s joy was a part of him\, that he let ot
hers see. Thank you for being a part of this event\, to help us honor JJ’s
  beautiful legacy! \n\nThis event includes a timed 5k\, untimed 5k and a 1
-mile family fun walk. Virtual participation is also an option.
